We are proud to share that on November 2, 2023, NEOFACS received a certificate of completion of the Active Offer Training from Réseau du mieux-être francophone du Nord de l'Ontario.
Over 300 of our employees have completed this training to date!
As a designated agency under the French Language Services Act (FLSA), we are committed to providing quality services in both French and English. The FLSA guarantees the rights of Francophones in designated areas to receive services in French that are equitable and responsive to their needs as Francophones.
Why Active Offer Matters
Providing an active offer for French Language Services (FLS) is aimed at reinforcing our commitment to providing clients with the best possible service — starting with an assessment of their language needs.
This also serves as a reminder of the importance of learning about a client’s cultural and individual needs at the onset of services and ongoingly while working with them to ensure that we are and continue to be responsive to their unique needs.
Achieving Organizational Goals
Our internal FLS committee recommended implementing this training for all employees. This training achieves goals of our Organizational Training Plan and aligns with our 2022-2027 Strategic Plan, as follows:
- Ensure that an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens is applied to all processes including client-specific plans for children, youth and families, goal under the strategic direction of Children, Youth and Families.
- Improve quality, client experience and outcomes of services, goal under the strategic direction of Children, Youth and Families.
- EDI accountability mechanisms in our day-to-day processes that are in line with a culture of caring, goal under the strategic direction of Organizational Development.
