EARLYON AND BRIGHTER FUTURES WORKER

Full-time Position in Kapuskasing and/or Smooth Rock Falls

(with travel between Kapuskasing and Smooth Rock Falls offices as required)

As a member of the EarlyON and Brighter Futures team, the successful candidate will be required to implement and deliver community based programming to infants, children, youths, families and caregivers participating in these programs. The successful candidate will facilitate topics in group settings or on an individual basis, including life skills, living skills, parenting, prenatal, nutrition, health, safety, leisure housing, breastfeeding, labour and delivery and other relevant topics. Programs will be provided in-person and virtually, as required. The EarlyON and Brighter Futures Worker will promote the services of the Agency and to the programs to the participants and general public.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
• An Early Childhood Education Diploma, Child and Youth Worker Diploma, Social Service Worker diploma or related qualifications and experience in Human Services.
• Candidates must be an RECE, or be eligible to register as an ECE.
• Knowledge and understanding of child development, child management, parenting styles, issues and lifestyles, early nutritional needs, parent education tools, resources and intervention techniques.
• Knowledge of neglect and child abuse, along with the duty to report.
• Excellent group facilitation skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle.
