PROGRAM SUPERVISOR – INVESTIGATION/ASSESSMENT AND ONGOING
Full-time Management Position in Englehart
We are seeking a Program Supervisor for our Englehart Office, who will be responsible for supervising, planning, directing, and overseeing all services within the assigned child protection portfolio. The successful candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of social work theories, principles, and practices, along with proven supervisory experience in a child welfare environment. This role will focus on optimizing our services and ensuring compliance with current legislation, Ministry guidelines, and Agency policies and procedures. Moreover, the ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, have a vested interest in our programs, particularly in child protection services, and excel at recognizing strengths while fostering a culture of trust, respect, fairness, consistency, diversity, and inclusiveness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
• An MSW or BSW is preferred. A College Diploma in Social Services may be considered along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director. If a College Diploma is considered, the successful candidate must agree to obtain a relevant degree, by a recognized university, as a condition of employment.
• Thorough knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) and Regulations, Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Ontario Child Protection Standards and practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with community partners and stakeholders.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle.
