Child Welfare Services are mandated by the Child, Youth and Family Services Act to protect children between the ages of 0-17 from various forms of abuse and neglect.
NEOFACS accepts referrals, conducts investigations and provides short- and long-term intervention services. Child Welfare Services strengthen families, by working with parents to develop a service plan that alleviates risks and ensures the safety of children. Agency staff will also advocate and coordinate essential supports with other community partners that support the family.
Emergency After Hours Services, Child Protection Services, Foster Care and Adoption Services support Child Welfare Services. Further support is extended to families through the use of Volunteer and Protection Support Services.
