This is a call to action for everyone who lives in Northern Ontario. The Ontario government wants to hear directly from you, the public, in order to help them redesign the programs and services that children, youth and families in the North deserve and need.

The match is lit, the time to speak up is now!

HOW – Complete a survey the government posted for feedback before October 11, 2019.

Have your say on the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) website by participating in an online survey at http://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=156693927117. Please note that the survey is also available in French at http://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=156702388962.

English and French paper copies of the survey are also available by calling Mélanie Watson, Communications Coordinator at North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services (NEOFACS), at 705-360-2121.

WHY? – To ensure that services are designed to meet the unique needs of people from the North IN the North.

Transformational changes are needed. The government is reaching out to hear what you have to say about the programs and services and how they can be improved. The North has unique needs that need to be recognized and met: geography, access, and quality service providers. Currently, communities in Northern Ontario struggle for equal access to systems that are responsive, flexible, and designed for the specialized needs of Northerners. Here is your chance to help change that.

The government is committed to meeting our needs – it’s our responsibility to tell them what those needs are so they get it right. What works in the South doesn’t necessarily work in the North.

WHO?

This is about you. You may have accessed services or may need them in the future. Have your say!
