Brighter Futures is a Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) which provides programming for families with children 0-6 years. This program is offered in communities throughout the NEOFACS service area. The Brighter Futures programs operate in partnership with other services and organizations in their respective communities. The population served includes families who are at risk due to isolation, social or economic status, health or age. Programs include teen prenatal, transition to teen parenting and teen parenting groups, playgroups, lending libraries and collective kitchens.

The Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) provides funding for the Special Delivery/Prenatal Nutrition Program.

Young Families Program (Timmins and Kirkland Lake)

Open to expecting parents and parents ages 14-21 with children 6 years and under. This is an ongoing program offered weekly in the evenings where you will enjoy a free meal and meet others who share many of your experiences. This service promotes healthy pregnancies, explores parenting skills, encourages further education, offers collective kitchens, and provides information about nutrition, child health and development. This is a great opportunity to participate in various fun activities. Please check the monthly calendars for the Timmins and Kirkland Lake locations for more information.
