YOUTH JUSTICE WORKERS

Two (2) Casual Positions in Timmins

As a member of the Attendance Centre Team, the primary responsibilities will be to provide a host of cognitive, life-skills, and recreational programs to young persons between 12 and 18 years of age who are in conflict with the law in an effort to prevent recidivism.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
• A University degree in Criminology or Social Work with experience delivering cognitive/clinical programs to youth in a structured environment is preferred. A B.A in other Social Sciences or Community College diplomas in Social Services with relevant experience may be considered.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying the legislative acts, regulations, and policies of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and the Agency
• Knowledge and experience in implementing programs and time management
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bilingualism (English /French) is an asset
• Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle
