One (1) Casual Position in Timmins
As a member of the Brighter Futures team, the successful candidate will be required to facilitate topics either in a group setting or on an individual basis will include life skills, living skills, parenting, prenatal, nutrition, health, safety, leisure housing, breastfeeding, labour and delivery and other topics relevant to the philosophy and goals of the Brighter Futures program. The Brighter Futures Worker(s) will promote the services of the Agency and the programs to the participants and general public.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
• A Social Service Worker diploma or post-secondary education in the Human Services discipline with two years related experience working with families and children
• Knowledge of child development, neglect and child abuse along with the duty to report
• Knowledge of parenting issues, lifestyles, and prevention and intervention techniques
• Excellent group facilitation skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bilingualism is required (English/French)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle
