NEOFACS Hosts Volunteer Information Session on April 9 at the Timmins Public Library
Timmins, ON – In celebration of National Volunteer Week (April 7 to 13), North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services (NEOFACS) is hosting a drop-in Volunteer Information Session on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., in the Tembec Room at the Timmins Public Library at 320 Second Avenue in Timmins.
NEOFACS is actively looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in the life of a child or youth. Anyone interested will have the opportunity to speak to staff to gather information and have questions answered. Registration is not required, come by and learn about the many ways you can start volunteering.
Volunteer Services are offered to enhance and strengthen the Agency’s services. Volunteers assist staff in most service and program areas and contribute to the overall care and well-being of children, youth and families. Screening, ongoing training and support are offered to volunteers on a regular basis.
NEOFACS would like to recognize our volunteers and their contributions in all of our communities. The impact each volunteer makes goes well beyond the hours given, gifts wrapped, time tutored and the kilometres driven. Their contributions help NEOFACS work towards the vision of strong, healthy and safe communities.
