Pride month celebrates diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. Pride is an important time to reflect on LGBT2SQ+ history, struggles and progress.
Pride celebrations might look a bit different this year, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still join your friends, family and community in celebrating while practicing physical distancing during COVID-19. Kids Help Phone shares ideas on how to celebrate special events during the pandemic, included Pride festivities. Learn more here.
North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS) is committed to providing services that are welcoming, safe, and non-judgemental for all children, youth and families, including those in our LGBT2SQ+ community. We support families of all stripes!
This includes recognizing and respecting the needs of all children and youth who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Two-Spirit, queer, questioning and otherwise gender independent (LGBT2SQ+). We further recognize and respect the family constellations of those we serve.
