The North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services (NEOFACS) Board of Governors is pleased to present our Strategic Map 2018-2021 and the progress that we have accomplished thus far. Created by the Board, this Map sets the course for our Agency’s future and lays out four overarching themes and list of focus areas that we will work to accomplish by 2021.
Highlights include NEOFACS plans to achieve our Mission and Vision and meet the needs of children, youth and families that we serve by operating with efficiency, being effective and building a strong and prepared agency utilizing our resources effectively and always driven by our values.
The Map is rooted in a re-affirmed mission of working together for the well-being and safety of children, youth and families. A new Vision of strong partnership, safe communities, and healthy children, youth, and families was developed. Also, new Values that influence the way we act and the decisions we make were updated to a set of six core values, namely child centred, accountable, caring, collaboration, integrity, and respect. Most important, four key strategic themes are defined. These include Client Focused, Internal Processes, Learning and Growth, and Financial Sustainability.
Associated with each theme is a specific set of priorities or actions which are further detailed at a program and service level. Progress is monitored and measured for each with the support of tools such as Operational Work Plans and with regular reporting to the Board of Governors. Specific actions have been underway since 2018 to achieve the desired outcomes of the Strategic Map.

As we move forward in our journey to fulfill our Strategic Map, we look forward to keeping you up-to-date with our progress and to future consultations as we build our upcoming plan and strategy.
Together, we will continue to improve the programs and services we provide to children, youth and families in our communities.
